| Thallus pale fawn, thin, minutely tuberculate, dull. Ascomata numerous, conspicuous, black, straight, curved or sinuous, often branched, sulcate, with a thick thalline margin, semi-immersed to sessile, 1–5 mm long, 0.2–0.4 mm wide. Proper exciple reddish brown, apically carbonised, rarely slightly laterally carbonised. Hymenium 100–125 µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, irregularly biseriate, transversely 10–13 (–16)-locular, 35–55 × 7–9 µm, I+ blue-violet. CHEMISTRY: Stictic acid. |

| This corticolous species occurs in northern N.T., eastern Qld and north-eastern N.S.W.; also in Costa Rica, India, Indonesia and Christmas Island. | ||
